Our beginners courses are aimed at photographers with a DSLR or more advanced compact camera who may be a little baffled by the plethora of controls, settings and menu options.
Topics covered include:
- Digital camera controls and settings
- Understanding apertures, shutter speeds and ISO
- Management and enhancement of images on the computer
- “What makes a good photograph?”
Tuition sessions are run according to demand and individual member’s requirements.
Throughout the season, we run regular members’ evenings offering advice and demonstrations, covering all topics from camera controls to Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Each year the Club stages an exhibition of prints and projected digital images representing the best of every member’s work.
The Exhibition is held at Bromley Central Library every May, admission is free.
Outings and Social Events
The Club arranges social events and outings throughout the year to places offering photographic opportunities.
Throughout the season competitions are arranged for members of all abilities in which they can enter prints, slides and projected digital images. Constructive comments from the judges are the best way to learn and to expand your photographic horizons.
Established in 1896, we are one of the longest running camera and photography clubs in the country. Visit our History page.
